The Danish Partnership on Ballast Water invites to a Conference in Copenhagen to be held 8 March 2012. The Conference will cover questions and challenges related to the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention including

- The challenges seen from a shipowner perspective
- The risk related to spread of alien and invasive species
- The need for ballast water treatment
- European implementation of the Ballast Water Management Convention
- Status of approved treatment systems
